She ascended to the throne following the death of King William IV on June 20, 1837. Victoria was to prove Britain's longest reigning monarch.Queen Victoria became queen at the age of 18.The biggest accomplish of Queen Victoria reigned from 1837 to 1901, the longest reign by a British Monarch.
